Award-winning, Liverpool-based theatre company 20 Stories High are creating a new play in a co-production with Contact about young women and abortion – “I told my Mum I was going on an RE Trip”. We will present the real voices of a host of different people: those who are new to thinking about abortion; young women who have had abortions; young parents; sexual health clinicians and educators; campaigners and religious leaders. We explore young people’s ideas and perspectives within the framework of broader cultural, religious and political contexts. The play will tour nationally to theatre venues and schools.
We are looking for a freelance Participation Associate who will coordinate and contribute to the development of a national participatory programme around the show including workshops, post show discussions and post show events.
They will work in partnership with national venues to ensure that all activities and participants are fully protected by safeguarding practice and pastoral support and will be line managed by 20 Stories High’s Participation Coordinator.
Fee: £3000 at £80 per day Duration of work:approximately 37 days between September 2016 – March 2017
